In addition to the fridge and the washing machine, the dishwasher is now a staple of the modern kitchen – we can hardly imagine our everyday life without it. It gets rid of water stains on wine glasses and leaves your greasy pots squeaky clean. It may happen, however, that the tableware we take out of the dishwasher is not as clean as it should be. Why does it happen? Sometimes, we forget to load the washing detergent. There may also be a failure. Quite often, however, we are to blame for the situation. How is it possible? The secret lies in the proper arrangement of dishes, which allows the water to remove all the dirt. Learn some simple rules that will help you make the most of your dishwasher.

Prepare the dishes

Dishwashers do not like leftovers and ground coffee. The reason is very simple – they can clog the nozzles, settle on the filter and, over time, cause an unpleasant smell. In addition, food remains may circulate inside the dishwasher, which is obviously not very hygienic.

Arrangement matters

Mugs, glasses, bowls and pots should always be placed upside down. Thanks to this, water can circulate properly inside the dishwasher, rinsing dirt on each side of the dish. This also makes draining much easier. The upper basket is an ideal place for glasses, cups, as well as bowls and salad bowls. They usually do not need a powerful water jet from the nozzle, so it is better to place them a little higher, preventing any damage that the washing process may cause. Place plates, pots, pans and saucers in the bottom basket. When arranging the dishes in the dishwasher, remember that the largest, heaviest and dirtiest should always be put in the bottom basket. Heavier dishes ought to be placed on the sides of the dishwasher, and light dishes in the middle – this will ensure their optimal washing. Before setting a cycle, check if the dishes in the bottom basket do not block the movement of the nozzles. Cutlery is usually placed in a special basket in the bottom basket or in a narrow drawer at the very top of the appliance. Regardless of the model, remember to leave enough space between individual pieces. In this way, water can flow freely. If we want to wash knives or blades, we can lay them flat on the top shelf or put them in the basket, always with the cutting edge down. Start loading the dishes at the back of the appliance in order to have convenient access to the space between bowls and cups. It is important not to overload the dishwasher. If you put in too many dishes, they may not be washed properly.

Trust technology

When choosing a dishwasher, you should opt for one that will make your daily chores easier. Sharp dishwashers are equipped with a number of features designed to facilitate the operation of the appliance, while maximizing its capacity. Currently, all Sharp dishwashers available on the market have a large space that you can modify depending on your needs. This includes, inter alia, the possibility of adjusting the upper basket, thanks to which even tall kitchen utensils can be comfortably placed in the bottom basket. An interesting solution is the additional third level: FlexiTray for cutlery. It is a drawer in which – in addition to cutlery – small kitchen utensils can be washed. Dishwashers identify the type of dishes placed inside and adapt the temperature to ensure optimal washing efficiency (IntelliWash programme). Dishes inside Sharp dishwashers are clearly visible thanks to LED lighting, which greatly facilitates the loading and unloading process.
